Status: Utopic Development Kernel

We have rebased our Utopic kernel “unstable” branch to v3.16-rc2. We
are preparing initial packages and performing some test builds and DKMS
package testing. I do not anticipate a v3.16 based upload until it has
undergone some additional widespread baking and testing.

Milestone Targeted Work Items

I’d note that this section of the meeting is becoming less and less
useful to me in its current form. I’d like to take a vote to skip this
section until I/we can find a better solution. All in favor (ie +1)?
I’ll take silence as agreement as well :)
ppisati: +1
jsalisbury: +1
rtg: +1
ogasawara: ok, motion passed.
(actually the same could be said for the ARM status part since support it’s part of generic now FWIW)
Dropping ARM Status from this meeting as well.

Status: Utopic Development Kernel

We have rebased our Utopic kernel to v3.15 final and uploaded
(3.15.0-6.11). As noted in previous meetings, we are planning on
converging on the v3.16 kernel for Utopic. We have started tracking
v3.16-rc1 in our “unstable” ubuntu-utopic branch. We’ll let this
marinate and bake for a bit before we do an official v3.16 based upload
to the archive.

Milestone Targeted Work Items

I have reservations about BP’s being the appropriate method for tracking
work items as we move forward. I’ve tentatively set up a discussion
point for the team sprint at the end of the month to figure out a better
alternative.

Status: Utopic Development Kernel

We are preparing to upload our first v3.15 based kernel to the Utopic
archive. We’re awaiting some DKMS package fixes before doing so. We’ve
currently rebased to the latest v3.15-rc5 upstream kernel.
Additionally, at a minimum, we will converge on the v3.16 kernel for the
Utopic 14.10 release.

Status: Utopic Development Kernel

Our Trusty kernel has been pocket copied to seed Utopic. We have opened
the ubuntu-utopic kernel tree. The master-next branch is currently
tracking the v3.15-rc3 kernel. We likely won’t upload a v3.15 based
kernel until a few more -rc releases come out.
